Since WordPress 2.3, xili-language plugin continues to be compatible with the series of versions. Now xili-language 2.21 is compatible with WP 4.4. This recent version of WP introduces new tables (meta of taxonomies) et new features (REST API). The future version of xili-language during 2016 will incorporate these new elements for a better management of datas (mainly language properties).
